We Did It!

This week we experienced something new~absentee ballots. Last month we had picked ours up at a barbecue held by the US embassy. There we joined 200 other US citizens and savored American food, met the consular general, registered with the embassy, and learned about voting requirements. We even received a refrigerator magnet with embassy phone numbers!
Our ballots needed to be at the embassy by October 15th, which they were. We voted~how about you?

Please remember Zambia in prayer as its citizens will be voting on the 30th of this month for a new president. I learned something interesting yesterday about voting while I was getting a haircut. Only those who voted in the last election two years ago may vote in this upcoming election. I can only assume that this is because President Mwanawasa died before his term was completed. May God be with both countries during the presidential elections.

Congrats, do they send your votes state-side or wrap them up in a box and place them in an Indiana Jones-like warehouse somewhere in Egypt? What is the sentiment over there as far as things that are happening here?

I hope you voted for the right people. I hope I do too!

I'm praying for Zambian elections.

Hi,
Am I now a blogger?
I guess there is a first time for everything.
Anyway I'm glad you get to vote.
Even thought we vote for whomever we think is the right person, our confidence is that the Lord's person will be in the office accomplishing His purpose.
I think I am going to enjoy reading your blogs and keeping in touch with you, Tracy and Karen.
Liana says high.
