Help For The Ngomas

Esther and Geoffrey Ngoma
A stroke can change a person’s life forever. Especially devastating is having a stroke at the age of 40, in the prime of life.

Geoffrey Ngoma, apart from a miracle of healing, will probably not  be the same again. A pastor in ACTION Zambia’s Discipleship 2:7 program, Ngoma suffered a debilitating stroke which has left his left side paralyzed. Intelligent and articulate, he is a husband, father, and pastor. Were it not for his wife’s income of selling shoes, Geoffrey’s family would barely make ends meet, as his church is unable to support him. Added hospital expenses now weigh the family down, creating more stress and pressure.

After visiting Geoffrey in the hospital several times, Tracy realized this was a situation where ACTION Zambia's medical fund could be put to good use. At his next visit, Tracy took a million kwacha, roughly $200, as a gift to the family from this fund to help with expenses and missed employment. Since then he has taken an additional gift to ease their burden. Tracy has also been working with a fellow believer who is a medical equipment supplier here, in order to fit Geoffrey with an arm sling. Geoffrey's cardiologist, for reasons unknown, failed to meet with Tracy to obtain this, another instance of things taking longer here. Many times it is a strain on our Western patience and a great source of frustration.

Please pray for the Ngomas as they travel this road of suffering. Pray for God's grace to give them strength and hope. In the midst of their trials they have stood fast and remained faithful to God. May they continue to do so~
