What a sight for sore eyes! Adam arrived in Zambia this past Saturday, and are we ever glad to see him. His third time in Africa, Adam seems quite at home.
Already he has visited my English class (first day of teaching), returned to Makeni to visit some of the orphans he knows, attended church at Emmasdale, ran to the stop sign and back, looked for an oil leak on our car, and taught us how to play "Forbidden Island." (If you don't know this game, it is so much fun) Today he'll attend APC with Tracy.
He's also gotten back into the swing of things by slinging snails that climb our walls. In the past he has flung them with a vengeance; he has mellowed quite a bit and gently tosses them.
| Getting over jet lag |
In the morning we're heading to Longezia in southern Zambia for a few days away. Hopefully we haven't become too boring!
Praise God for jet planes that close this gap of over 8,000 miles. Praise God for the times we live in as missionaries~when I think of those sent in the 1800s, leaving their families and not seeing them ever again, I give thanks. We are blessed!
