Tracy and I returned home Thursday after a week with his family in Missouri. Pictured here is his brother's family and part of ours. Cary and Marta hosted the "Hasta La Vista" party on August 1st at their home. Our daughter, Audrey, and her husband, Keith, Dobby, their pug, and Adam were also able to come down for the family reunion. Traveling down from Illinois, Tracy and Adam took turns riding the motorcycle. What a great job Adam did handling the bike.God gave Tracy a rich time with his mother and each of his five siblings. Time spent with his mom included talking over coffee and working on her laptop computer. We're all so proud of her for going online! With his siblings Tracy helped his brother, Stacy, move dirt; flew in his brother Cary's 1949 Naveon airplane; and hung out with sister, Kathy, and brothers Steve and Rick.
Kathy, Marta, and I met for lunch on Wednesday in a little Amish town, Jamesport. It's one of my favorite places to go in MO. Afterwards we browsed through several shops where one can find antiques and household goodies. Kathy and I then stopped at another favorite spot, the H&R Country Store, an Amish grocery which sells in bulk. I picked up some spices, homemade noodles, and, did you know you can buy just the marshmallow bits in Lucky Charms cereal? That's the only part I eat anyway!
Coming home on the motorcycle wasn't as much fun since we had to dodge rain most of the way. We realized maps are not near as precise as one would like them to be. But, we did find some beautiful and interesting trails for future motorcycle rides!
