Kennedy, Juma, Phillemon, Laban

This term my class gained a new student, Juma Banda. Although he was not in my class last term Juma has taken grammar before at the Baptist Theological Seminary.

Please pray about this term for several reasons. Teaching composition is the main emphasis during these few months. I find writing a lot easier than teaching people to write. Research papers are on the menu and in any language, they are tough! 

Also, in light of the upcoming presidential election on the 20th of September, ACTION Zambia has suspended all ministry next week. Violence has occurred in several parts of the city and our leadership believes it is prudent to lay low during that time. Because of this I will not be teaching~please pray that my students won't get too far behind. 

Also pray for Zambia, that peace would reign. Emotions are running high right now, with each party blaming the other for the violence. Media seldom gives timely reporting of such events, although the US Embassy has been very good to contact us with updates and warnings. BUT, most importantly, our God reigns~He holds us in the palm of His hand and ordains all that comes into our lives.
