For the past week and a half Tracy and I have hosted two men in our home. Bruce Ingram, ACTION's International PLD Coordinator, and Luke Reinstra, a former pastor from Canada, have come alongside Tracy to help with teaching in APC.
No stranger to different cultures, the men have worked together in India, Uganda, China, Myanmar, and now, Africa. Their experiences in India helped them to connect with our Indian friends, Joy and Mala, who dropped by this past Sunday for a visit.
From the moment they arrived Bruce and Luke hit the ground running by teaching, observing, and preaching. Classes at APC were extended an extra hour each day to complete the material they wanted to teach. Luke has preached at the seminary's chapel here where we live--Bruce will preach there this Thursday. This past Sunday Luke preached at one of the student's homes, that of Francis Ng'andwe. The picture above shows Bruce sharing with the men at a conference this past Saturday, held for the Pastors Passion Network, PPN.
Luke leaves this Friday, getting home in time for his 50th wedding anniversary. We have Bruce with us for three more days after that. Their presence has encouraged us and has lightened Tracy's load. May the seeds planted in the pastors' hearts bear fruit for many more years to come!
