This morning my daily Bible reading guide brought me to I Chronicles 17 again. David wanted to build a house for the Lord but was told through Nathan that God would build him a house instead.My wide-margined Bible enables me to make notes as well as journal. Next to verse 25 of this chapter I wrote this prayer, "Father, build us a house." The following year I added, "Amen, and grant us the courage to pray before You." In addition I penned these journalings since 2005, after our second trip to Africa.
7/13/05--"This day we began to seek the Lord regarding our future."
7/14/06--"We are praying about going to Africa."
And this morning, I added,"We are in the middle of deputation." Lord willing, next year I will write, "God has brought us to Africa." I found it interesting to trace God's hand through the years.
