Christmas Star?

Venus and Jupiter aligned with the moon on November 30th and gave us this picture here in Zambia about 7:30 p.m. I understand it looked different in different parts of the world. This conjunction will not occur again until 2052~while viewing it I realized I probably won't see it again in this life. In our part of the world, Venus is on the left and Jupiter on the right. I've since found out that this also happened in 3 B.C. and may explain the Christmas Star. At that time Venus and Jupiter were so close that they were indistinguishable as two separate planets. Quite amazing, isn't it?
