In Training

Agnes, Demetri, Taona, and Abigail
After quite a hiatus from walking in the past month, I returned to my regimen this week. These girls, imitating their mothers, caught my eye. Strapped to their backs were their baby dolls, some which were so small they were invisible.

Zambian mothers carry their babies on their backs, wrapping them skillfully with a piece of colorful cloth called a chitenge. I've only seen one child slip off their mother's back, quite embarassing.

While these girls may be playing, they are also preparing for their future roles as mothers, if God wills. Would you pray for each of these atsikana (girls), for God's richest blessing on their lives?
