Next Saturday 12 APC students will be present at the Baptist Theological Seminary graduation next Saturday. There are supposed to be 13, but one graduated sooner than expected.
Pastor Francis Ng'andwe entered the presence of the Lord this past Saturday after surgery to relieve pressure from a serious head injury. His death comes as a shock and at a time of celebration. While we are rejoicing as much as we can that he is with the Lord, we are mourning as well.
Francis was to have received the Faithful Pastor award at APC's program following graduation at the seminary. The award will be given posthumously as well as his certificate of ministry.
Ng'andwe leaves behind a wife, Sylvia, and four children. The loss of a spouse is devastating in any culture. But in Zambia it can also have serious economical ramifications, where there is often no safety net. Please pray for his family and church as they mourn the death of their husband, father, brother, and pastor. Pray for the remaining APC students as well as for the ACTION Zambia staff.
There will be an empty seat at graduation this Saturday. We are sorrowing over our loss, yet rejoicing that he has been promoted.
