Our son's friend, Dan Allison, has created an opportunity for people to help change the world on May 21. MissionFest 2010 is a musical feast for the ears as well as a provision for the poor in Peru, Tanzania, and Zambia. The impoverished pastors that Tracy works with will be the beneficiaries of the monies received for Zambia.
The evening, which begins at 7 p.m. in St. Petersburg, FL, promises the talents of singer/songwriter Mike Shea, the bands, Halibut and Emberlasting, as well as recording artist Brian Weller. The concert's goal is to raise $3000, split evenly between the three countries mentioned above. First of all, we ask that you pray~for Dan, for the performers, and that God would give success in reaching, even exceeding the goal. "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." (Ps. 127:1, ESV) Even if you are unable to attend the concert, there is opportunity online to donate and find out further information.
We truly appreciate Dan's heart in organizing this benefit and wish God's richest blessing on him. May God abundantly bless the concert and thus bless the poor of Peru, Tanzania, and Zambia.
