Center Street Markings

Several months ago I was invited by the new residents of our former home in Mt. Morris to stop by for a visit. Tanya, the wife of the new associate pastor of our home church, reminded me of some markings on the door jam in the basement~markings that recorded our children's growth.

Yesterday I dropped by the house and took a "snap" of pencil marks. I paused as I remembered lining our children's heads against the wood and marking the new growth and the date. In addition I was treated to a tour of the old place on East Center. When we lived there we had wanted to turn the attic into a bedroom, something the Mennens have done. It looks great! Everything else pretty much looks the same and we had fun talking about the quirks and neat details about the former parsonage. A great trip down memory lane!
