The Friendship Deepens

Nayan, Nishitha, and Karin
My relationship with Mala has deepened. You will remember that Mala lives near us in Zambia. I've written about her in other posts~she put eggshells on a plant to remind her of her children; she taught me how to make potato curry, I taught her how to make tofu "meatloaf." When she heard I was returning to the States she asked if I'd take a few things to her son who lives in Pittsburgh.

Yesterday three of her children, Nayan, Nishitha, and Karin, Nishitha's husband, stopped by to pick up the things from their mother. Mala wanted to send some things from home that Nayan would remember as he's only been in the US for two years. We had a delightful time chatting about their parents, India, and Zambia. We all agreed that the schwarmas at Castle in Lusaka are the best!

I don't know what God is doing, but I am excited about the possibilities. We've been invited to Nishitha and Karin's home in Boston, Audrey and Keith have opened their home to Nayan, and next Christmas when they visit their parents, we may meet for schwarmas!
