First, a praise! After sending out only two prayer letters we have reached 56% of our monthly support goal. Praise God! About a year ago when I was walking to church one Sunday morning the thought of raising support sent fear throughout my body. In the next second God reminded me that it is "'not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,' saith the Lord." That quickly reminded me that it is His work.Prayer is needed at this time for several upcoming opportunities next week. On Monday at 4 p.m. we are meeting with the Monroe Bible Church's missions team.This church has shown great interest in supporting us. At lunchtime on Wednesday Tracy will present our calling to the local Kiwanis Club. Pray that God would give great success and raise up faithful supporters and new doors of opportunity. Thank you to those who hold us up in prayer during this time of deputation.
Yesterday I talked with Tracy (who is still in Seattle) and the consultation with the other pastors and missionaries has been exceptional. God has answered prayer that it would be a rich time of learning and fellowship.
