The past few weeks we said goodbye to many friends and family. On New Year's Day we dropped by Brad and Johannah's home and shared a sweet time with them. This past Monday a dear brother in the Lord, Craig, came by to encourage us. Looks like we may get him over to Africa someday. His brother ministers in Africa by drilling wells and with Craig’s upcoming retirement from teaching, he will be free to join his brother on a trip. Tuesday night my sister, Leslie, and her daughter, Tessa, dropped by to say, “bye for now.” We're so proud of Tessa's

academic excellence. That evening my good friend, Janette, and I went out for tea and talk at a local restaurant. Wednesday morning Shannon brought us muffins and juice and we chatted at length. Her heart is in Zambia in many ways. Bob and Nancy, our good neighbors, came over Thursday afternoon to wish us farewell. They have been a tremendous help to us by getting rid of our leftover stuff for us. While it is very hard to say goodbye to these dear ones, it is such an encouragement to us that they are so supportive and glad for us. Truly bittersweet.
