A Riddle

How many people can you fit on a minibus? It depends on if they are muzungu (white people) or Zambian. On one leg of our trip to Ngombe compound for a funeral there were 19 Zambians, Tracy, and I. Because azungu (plural of muzungu) tend to be stouter, they take up more space. Especially humbling was being told by the driver to distribute our weight more evenly on the bus. This was done by Tracy sitting with Pastor Thole in one seat and Mrs. Thole and I in another. Even though it's good to be fat here, it makes me want to lose weight!

How true is this???
There are even live chickens, other children on your laps and even live critters at your feet, or at least that was my experience a time or two in near Ndola/Kitwe!

Enjoy those mini-buses for me, as I dearly MISS all that Africa brought me, and I pray for a quick return!
