Yesterday morning the president of Zambia, Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, passed away in France after being hospitalized for seven weeks. President Mwanawasa professed faith in Christ in March 2005 and is held in high esteem by his people. Vice President Banda will be taking over the helm until new elections are held. Please pray for the nation of Zambia as it grieves. Pray that peace would reign as elections are oftentimes occasions for violence.

The President Dies
