What do you do with 22 leaders from four different churches? You hold a leadership principles seminar! This past week five of our AZ team members spoke for three days to the Streams of Living Water Church, one church in four different locations. Founded and led by Pastor Sitali, each church under the SLW umbrella has its own pastor and leaders.
Some of the sessions’ topics were The Nature and Qualifications of Biblical Leadership, How to Choose Leaders, Conflict Resolution, Developing Vision, and How Do Leaders Keep Their Soul Happy in God? Tracy tag-taught with Glenn Ripley on the subject of resolving conflict. He also taught in the evening at the campfire on the latter subject. The highlight for Tracy was this time spent around the campfire~singing, drumming, and dancing. He also spent time throughout each day interacting with leaders, especially on the mechanics of daily Bible reading.
For these leaders and pastors this was a significant time in which AZ had input into their lives. One of the participants shared, “This retreat has changed my life.” Please pray for the leaders that were present that they would own these principles and put them to use in their lives, and as a result, speak into the lives of their congregants.
