There’s no place like home and that was certainly true about our visit to the Leaf River Baptist Church, just five miles down the road. People greeted us warmly at the door, ready to carry in our display table baggage and take coats. During Sunday School the class asked questions like, “What is being done to stem the AIDS pandemic?”, “What’s the official language of Zambia?”, and “How are things politically there?” Before we left the congregation gathered at the front to pray over us—this was especially meaningful to us. Afterwards, Balto insisted on having his picture taken again (he does that a lot!). Our motorcycling friends, Dan and Kathy, and their granddaughter were good sports, braving the chilly weather. Thanks, Leaf River, for an encouraging day!
