Saying good-bye to Tracy's mother this past Tuesday was especially difficult since we will not see her for some time. Sylvia had traveled by train last Friday to be with us at our commissioning~~something she said she would not have missed for the world. To have her with us at this time meant more than she'll ever know. What a huge help she was to me, too! She can peel potatoes around anyone! Having raised a large family she helped me maintain my calm with the houseful we had this past weekend. The day she left she and Tracy started to make a pot of chicken soup. Well, this soup eventually turned into homemade chicken and noodles, plus mashed 'taters. Yum! We've been eating on it all week~~thanks, Mom. Good-byes are hard, but, what a comfort to know that one day we will have one another for all of eternity!
