Gobble, Gobble!

One thing we did together on Thanksgiving was make yummy turkeys out of chocolate drops and stars, butter cookies, candy corn, and graham crackers. Chocolate icing held everything together. I must say it was the best chocolate frosting I've ever made! Here's Neal and Adam in the first picture with their creations. Adam came home on Wednesday and Neal on Thursday morning. Audrey and Keith came home as well on Wednesday afternoon. We ran out of chocolate drops first which put an end to our turkey craft. There weren't too many tears, though. The final picture is one patterned after the movie "300". The commanding turkey is giving his legion of turkeys a pep talk. I think this was Keith's idea, I'm not sure. What memories!

Neal called us the Saturday after Thanksgiving and read a letter informing him that he's been cleared for hiring as a police officer in 2008! There was a lot of whooping and shouting going on! Praise God! Neal, we're proud of you! For everyone who's prayed for Neal~~thank you.
