True Worship

The invitation to preach read, "Calvary greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I wish to invite you, man of God, and your wife to come to the church and bless us in the preaching of the Word of God at True Worshippers Bible Church."

Tracy accepted the invitation from Pastor Mumbi to preach in the Kanyama compound and shared Colossians 3:1-4 with those gathered. From the expounding of the Word to the praise and singing, it truly was a day of worship.

The pulpit pictured here mysteriously showed up this morning and was the right size for Tracy as well as the senior pastor. It was delivered in
response to a message by Pastor Mumbi to do something for the Lord that needed to be done in the church. It wasn't until the close of the service that the church knew who had given it. So, Tracy got to baptize the pulpit with preaching this morning!

Pastor Mumbi and his wife are pictured above and the story of their marriage is amazing. Bereft of his wife in 1997, Mumbi was left to raise seven children for 11 years. Mrs. Mumbi, a widow, taught his children at her school and last year they married, blending a family of fourteen children in all. They truly are a delightful couple.

After church we went to their home where they served one of the most delicious meals we've had since coming to Zambia. The Mumbis also shared their family photographs with us as well as Chinese cabbage from their garden.

The Mumbis are people of integrity and ones with whom we hope
our hearts are knitted more closely. In light of their character it is easy so see why their church is growing and prospering.
