Living in Oklahoma for 14 years prepared us for coming to Africa. Officially dubbed the bug capital of the world by our family, the state housed all kinds of critters~tarantulas, brown recluse spiders, centipedes, and scorpions. Although this scorpion we discovered in our apartment the other night is smaller than the OK scorpions we’ve seen, we thought it looked more evil. We’re told their sting is similar to a wasp’s. Our visitor, Tim, quickly removed it from the land of the living with his shoe. Scorpions are a good reason to wear shoes in the house. However, for someone like me who loves to go barefoot, that will be extremely hard.

Creepy Critters
