We Can't Get Away From Silver Toyotas!

Although we haven’t been waiting nine months, we finally have a new addition to our family. After searching, praying, and much paperwork this 1997 Toyota Carib became ours last week. Imported from Japan with 80,000 km (or 50,000 miles), our little station wagon runs great and is the quietest car we’ve ever owned. How ironic, now that our hearing is almost gone!

We took the picture from this side of the car because a hubcap is missing on the other! The day we lost it (on a dusty, bumpy road) some women alongside the road began pointing at something as we drove by. They were trying to tell us we lost a hubcap, but we realized it too late. Tracy went back the next day to see if he could locate it, but to no avail. I told him maybe we’ll be able to buy it back someday from someone. Today we saw several vendors in town selling shiny hubcaps, but not one like ours. One vendor was situated by some rough railroad tracks. Hmm! That’s quite a business he’s got there!
