Dishwashing Tales, Part II

Do you know why frogs live in water? One morning Mirriam and I were doing dishes and she told me the answer. There was a man who made porridge one day, then went away. The animals gathered together~there were horses, dogs, cats, and frogs. They began talking among themselves. “This man always makes a lot of porridge and he only gives us a little. Why don’t we take some!” So the frog went into the man’s house and with a straw sucked up the porridge. “Ahhhhh! Ow!” he cried. The porridge was so hot that the frog leaped to the nearest water to cool his throat. And, that is where frogs have been ever since. You still see them suffering to this day~their gullets moves in and out because of the pain.
