Back In The Saddle

Today Tracy preached here in Makeni at a chapel service, which is held each Wednesday for adult education and seminary students. It was his first time preaching since arriving in Zambia.

He introduced his homily, The Greatest Person In The Universe, with an experience he had while getting his registration card. A picture of President Mwanawasa hangs inside every government office and each business establishment. It is imperative upon passing his picture that one remove his hat. On that day Tracy, in his newness to Zambia, did not realize it and had to be instructed by government employees. People may
even be arrested and fined for not removing their hats. (Imagine what
happens if disrespect is shown in the President's actual presence!) The
main point of this story was to point out that if respect and honor
is due to rulers in this world, how much more should we honor and glorify the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen." (Romans 11:36, NASV)
