A Virtual Tour, Part III

If you enter our front door and turn to the left you'll find our sitting room. Most everything you see here was in our living room in the states. The bookcase and desk were in an upstairs bedroom. We're covering the couch and loveseat with blankets because of the fine, red African dust that is impossible to keep out of the house. We brought two of the quilts that Tracy's mother made with us. One hangs here in the living room and the other in our spare room.

The third and fourth pictures are of our guest room. This is where Adam stayed when he was here. We recently added the desk
where Tracy is studying. Right now we still need more bookcases so we're using the room to store books. My favorite part about this room is the curtains which I had made by a local tailor. When I explained to Noel how I wanted them sewn, I said, "I want the elephants walking with the elephants and the giraffes walking with the giraffes." I thought he did a fine job. As you can see we still haven't hung everything up on the walls yet. That's usually one of the last things I do.

Well, are you ready for part IV?
