Friends, Part One

Especially sweet has been the reconnection with friends we have known throughout the years. This first picture is of Bruce, Katie, Jack, and Andrew McKanna. Both of our families lived on Center Street (Pastors Row) while Bruce served as the associate pastor of EFCMM and Tracy its senior pastor.Bruce has now assumed that role since we've been in Africa. Jack had many interesting questions for us when we visited. The most delightful was, "Are there any scarey animals in Zambia? Like turkeys?" We all had a good laugh!

Also on Center Street are our friends at 3 West. God intersected our lives with Robin, Dave, Lesa, Richard, Suki, and Randy, in 2005. Tracy lived at Richard's apartments there for a week in order to get to know them. As a result, our church began a ministry each week as we served supper and sought to befriend them. They are dear friends to this day, for which we are humbly grateful. Please pray for Randy as he battles leukemia. As a result of his illness, God has done an amazing work of salvation in his life. Praise God!

We became friends with Kenny about the same time period. What a great guy and brother in the Lord. One thing I never knew about Kenny~he loves the artwork of Michelangelo and Monet! Another thing I love about him!
